Several Bolton roads will be closed in the middle of next month while vital water works take place.

The back of Sapling Road will be closed from May 14 to 16, approximately three days, while works are ongoing.

The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the back of Sapling Road from Chilham Street to Shrub Street.

 The back of Sofa Street will also be closed from May 14 for approximately three days.

The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the back of Sofa Street from Shipton Street to Bentinck Street.

And the back of Tonge Moor Road will be closed from May 14 for approximately three days.

The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the back of Tonge Moor Road from Rowton Street to Crompton Way.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
